Hello, I am a 53 year women fully in Menopause. I have been gaining weight at an alarming rate since menopause and my boobs are too big! I got implants in 1998. Taking me from a 36B to 36D. Since then they have grown (breastfed one baby) and are now at least a 42 DD! The implants are Mentor Textured Round Saline above the muscle. I hate the way they look. All I see are boobs when I have a photo taken. I decided to have them redone and lifted. Went to see Dr. Hughes (Los Angeles) yesterday and talked about options. We also talked about pretty extensive liposuction...stomach, flanks, back, bra roll, inner and outer thighs. I think I am going to go ahead with all the surgeries. Prices have really increased since 1998! The lipo will be $11,000. Dr. Hughes says he will take old implants out, then weigh them and put in new implants that are 100 cc's less. Also a lift. I know that the current implants are 385 and 425. I really want to be a C cup. Funny how what you want when you are 38 is NOT how you want to spend your 50's especially with menopause weight gain. Also I wonder how any of you dealt with hot flashes while in compression garments. I already sleep with two fans on me! Ha! Photos coming soon.... Updated on 19 Aug 2015: Updated on 19 Aug 2015: Went from 34B to 34 full D. This was 1998. Mentor textured over the muscle round implants. Loved them. Then had baby at 40 and menopause and I HATE them now. Updated on 29 Aug 2015: I have decided to have Dr. Stocker perform my procedures. He believes very strongly that I have plenty of breast tissue and can remove my implants! That is music to my ears. So I will have an explant, removal of the capsules and a laser bra lift. I hope to come out at a full C cup. I feel confident in his abilities and am excited. I will also have liposuction on tummy, outer and inner thighs, flanks, and bra roll. He states that iI should lose 10 to 15 pounds post surgery and I will look great. We are going to Hawaii for Christmas and my surgery is scheduled for October 1. I should be good to go! No more baggy clothes for me. Updated on 1 Oct 2015: I had my surgery yesterday with Dr. Stoker. Can I just say what a great man. Skilled, compassionate and funny. We did an explant and then a lift. I can tell already that my breasts are going to be terrific. I am so happy to be rid of the implants. He was very skilled in creating an upper pole fullness with breast tissue from the sides of my breasts. My husband actually thought I had smaller implants in place. We all did pretty extensive lipo on flanks, tummy, outer hips, inner tips. Looks like I've lost 20 lbs already.. Pain manageable but would love to sleep. Haven't gotten more than 2 hours since surgery yesterday. Here is a first photo's post op of breasts....
Dr. Stoker is one of a kind!!!!! I am a 42 year old woman who has thought about this procedure for several years after being dissatisfied with my first breast lift and augmentation. I am 120 lbs and very active. I had larger breasts as a young girl, full c to small d. One of the best decisions I've ever made. I workout 4-5 days per week, eat mostly healthy and love fashion. After 7 years of working out and making lots of good health decisions, I realized my boobs were the one thing about my body that would never look better. I'm so grateful for my breast. They feed 2 healthy children. Updated on 21 Jul 2015: 10 weeks post op. Overall swelling is minimal. Left breast is always a little more swollen. Sleeping is still the biggest challenge. It's hard to get comfy in bed. Laying on the scars hurts for sure. The breast look perfect when I have on clothes. Been using scar supervision silicone. The jury in still out on if it is helping the scars. I'm always on the hunt for comfy bras. Underwire bras are a major no no. Overall, super pleased with the results
I was in a bad kayaking accident when I was a teenage and needed rhinoplasty. I had it done by what was supposed to be a world class surgeon in NYC. He made my nose look slightly better and made it slightly easier to breath. I went to Dr. Stoker to fix the damage from the accident and the 1st surgery. He did an amazing job. My nose doesn’t look “done”, it fits my face and looks significantly more attractive. I actually gave him a list of exactly what I wanted done and he did it. I can also breathe a lot easier especially when I go running. His staff was great too.
I would like to thank Dr Stoker and all his team for beeing such a professional clinic. Its been 24hours since my lipo and I can already see the results. I had my inner and outer thighs, hips and flanks done and I couldnt be happier. I choose by far THE BEST Dr I could ever had.
