Candidates for a mini facelift or a short scar facelift can be as young as in their 30s or well into their 70s and beyond. Many factors play a role in the way our faces look, including chronological age, sun exposure, environmental factors and genetics. It’s best to choose the procedure that is most likely to achieve your goals, and we will decide that together in your consultation.
This option is best for people with less advanced aging of the face because it doesn’t address the jowls or neck as much as a traditional facelift. You may even be a good candidate for a liquid facelift, a nonsurgical technique that uses dermal fillers and BOTOX® Cosmetic for comprehensive facial rejuvenation. Mini facelift patients should be in good overall health. Blood pressure should be under control. If you smoke, you should stop prior to surgery for optimal results and healing.
