Breast Reduction for Men (Gynecomastia) Before & After Case 286

This 28-year-old man felt uncomfortable with the look of his chest. A condition known as gynecomastia, this patient's breasts had an excess of tissue and fat, resulting in protruding breasts. After living with the issue for a while, he decided it was time to find a cosmetic surgeon who frequently treated gynecomastia. Eventually, he contacted Dr. Stoker's practice for a consultation with one of our board-certified plastic surgeons.

When he came in for his consultation, his surgeon examined his breasts and suggested that using power-assisted liposuction on his chest was the best course of action. Since this patient did not have an excess of breast tissue, only an excess of fat, liposuction alone could smooth his chest and give him a more masculine look. Using small, barely noticeably incisions, his surgeon could remove the fat quickly and efficiently with the assistance of a small, vibrating cannula – the device used to remove fat during power-assisted liposuction.

This patient saw immediate improvement and a much flatter chest once his body had time to heal. His "after" photos were taken two months following his liposuction and show a noticeable decrease in breast size. He was very happy with the results.
