After she had finished breastfeeding, this 37-year-old mother wanted her breasts to look perkier and she wanted her areolas (the skin around the nipple) to be smaller and even. After some thought, she began looking for a Los Angeles plastic surgeon who specialized in breast procedures.

When she met with her surgeon at Dr. Stoker's practice, she explained what her concerns were and how she wanted her breasts to look. To best address these concerns, her surgeon recommended that she have a breast lift with laser breast surgery With the laser breast surgery, the plastic surgeon created an internal support out of the patient's own skin. Usually, there is a section of skin that is discarded during a standard breast lift procedure, but this patch of skin was utilized with the laser breast surgery procedure; first it was treated with a CO2 laser and then it was sutured to the chest wall to support the breast tissue after surgery.

For this patient, her surgeon moved the tissue hanging below the breast to a higher and more youthful position and then created the internal support. To finish the procedure, her surgeon also reshaped her areolas so that they were more ideally sized.
