Breast Implant Correction Before & After Case 330
Before & After
Case Details
This 28-year-old woman had saline breast implants from another surgeon and developed "capsular contractures." This condition occurs when excessive scar tissue forms around the breast implants, causing it to harden and take on a distorted shape. Even though she had her previous implants removed, her breasts still looked misshapen. Knowing she needed a Los Angeles cosmetic surgeon she could trust, she called for a consultation with Dr. David Stoker.
She met with Dr. Stoker and explained the plastic surgery complications she had faced as well as her wish to improve the look and size of her breasts. After a brief physical examination, he recommended a breast augmentation revision to enhance the size of her breasts. Additionally, he suggested a capsulotomy to remove the scar formation and prevent capsular contractures from developing again. She tried on a variety of implant sizes under support and settled on the 550cc silicone gel implants, which are typically chosen over saline implants because of their more natural feel.
For the operation, Dr. Stoker first placed an incision through the areola to perform the capsulotomy and then inserted the implants. Her breasts now look noticeably fuller with a more natural, rounded shape. She is very happy and confident in her appearance.
