Breast Asymmetry Correction Before & After Case 1523
Before & After
Case Details
We have a great revision of breast augmentation and a lift case on a mom who was a model earlier in her life. She felt that her breasts did not hold up over time and had previous larger implants by another surgeon, which made her a double D cup. At this point in life, she felt like that was just too much, and even though she had broad shoulders and was on the taller side. And at the same time, she felt like she still wanted just a little bit of an implant to give her a little extra fullness.
We removed her 360 CC implants and replaced them with the latest generation cohesive gummy bear implants. That's a particular silicone gel implant. It's less likely to rupture, less likely to ripple. So we dropped her down from 360 to 175 CCs. But of course, if you do that on her breasts, what happens is the implant would drop down, and we lose all the fullness up top that is undesirable. We combine that with a breast lift. We decided to modify the typical lift we would do to use shorter incisions than I would use in many cases. So we didn't give her quite as much lift as we could do with longer incisions. Still, we felt because we wanted to allow for her to wear plunging necklines and kind of very revealing outfits, tiny bikinis, we decided to shorten those incisions a little bit.
Everything worked out beautifully for this patient, and I'm very happy with the outcome.
